Hanna & Ryan

Hanna & Ryan had such a fun fun FUN wedding at the Farley Plantation in Milner, GA. I love shooting at Farley Plantation, not only because it’s soo pretty but because the owners are AWESOME and some of the sweetest people you could hope to work with.  I was so excited when Hanna booked me and told me that’s where they were getting married.  I’m not sure that I have ever seen a group dance as much and as long as this bunch did, it wore me out just watching them, but it was a great time had by all. Ryan serves our country in the Navy, so they pretty much came back to Georgia to get married and then shortly after headed right back out to the west coast (I’m jealous!). Here are a few of my faves from their wedding day! OH! And a big shout out to Wes Brawner and Brandi Shirley for shooting this one with me, I have some awesomely great 2nd shooters/assistants! Check it out… AND ENJOY!

Hanna & Ryan made a last minute decision to see each other before the ceremony, which allowed us to get some really great photos of the two of them, but it also was a really sweet “private” moment for the two of them that we were privileged to be a part of.

and now… on with the show :) – Check out their colors! (And no it’s not indicative of their football team of choice, I asked ;) )

I had to post this next one… I almost deleted it because everyone is just all over the place, but now I kinda love it! It’s very fitting :)

And here are just a few of the fun and bright details of their wedding day!

In the works…

So I know it’s been a few days since my last blog post… BUT I figured that I wouldn’t keep you guys waiting and I would give you a sneak peek on the weddings and shoots I’m editing so you know what you have to look forward to :) . Enjoy! And make sure to check back and see the whole shoots/weddings!

Never been done before ((no it’s not a contest))

Okay guys… Sooo… We all know that with the weather getting cooler we aren’t as likely to go do outdoor shoots. BUT IT IS STILL SOOO BEAUTIFUL and great for outdoor shoots. I know this may sound crazy because I always charge sitting fees… BUT in keeping in the spirit of giving for the Holidays, I am offering FIFTEEN ***FREE*** Photoshoots by Ashley Brawner Photography for the month of November.

What’s the catch you ask?
There really isn’t one. I’m just waiving my sitting fee for the first 15 people that respond and book. The photo shoot will, as always, have to be at a mutually agreed upon time and location.

But you’ve always charged the sitting fee to reserve your appointment, with no sitting fee, how can that be done you say?
Well… I’m glad you asked! Your appointment time can be reserved with a $50 deposit that WILL be applied to your print and/or disc order. All you have to do is paypal your deposit to me at: payments@ashleybrawner.com and we will book your date (I also accept cash or checks, for your convenience).

Respond on this note w/your name and number of people in your shoot and your preferred location. Locations will vary between Nash Farms, Piedmont Park, Little 5 Points, Downtown Locust Grove, and a few other places.

Dates & Locations Available:

McDonough:
Nov 6th: 7:45am, 6pm, 6:45pm

Katlyn

Katlyn is one of my GORGEOUS c/o 2011 girls :) . We had a lot of fun with her shoot, stopping traffic and about causing wrecks with that beautiful blonde hair that she has!! Check out a few of my favorites from her shoot…And trust me it was SOO hard to choose! They are all soo good and she is soo photogenic! (I’m a bit jealous!) Soo… Here ya’ go! And enjoy!!

Deborah & Patrick

I met Deborah and Patrick from a referral from another friend and client, you may remember them if you follow my blog, Caden’s parents.  I knew when I first spoke with Deb that I was going to enjoy working with them, and I was way wrong… I LOVED working with them! Deborah and Patrick are one of the sweetest couples that you will ever meet and they love each other so much and it shows. I could go on all day about how they looked at each other, and hopefully my photographs of their special day do their love justice. Deborah and Patrick chose a venue that I had never been to, and now I can’t wait to go back! They got married at the GORGEOUS Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, GA and boy does that place do it right! I was soo impressed with everything from start to finish! Anyways… enough about the gorgeous venue and couple… I’ll let you see them for yourself… ENJOY!!!

Deb & Pat did their “reveal” in the lovely Bamboo Garden… It was such a beautiful place for their first look and it was such a sweet moment… Here are a few photos from that precious moment

Marisa & Jeff

I met Marisa and Jeff a couple months ago for their wedding in March and I knew that this was going to be a fun couple to photograph, for their engagement photos and their wedding. We did their photos in the same place that Marisa’s parents had some photos made for their engagement and a place that Marisa grew up going to, needless to say it has a lot of history and special memories for them. We had a BLAST on their shoot! I can honestly say that none of their smiles were forced because we were all laughing hysterically the whole entire time. Congratulations Marisa & Jeff!! And I can’t wait for your wedding this coming March!! And now… The photos… And you know what to do (don’t be shy). Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement shoot… ENJOY!!!

I had to post this one below… I LOVE silly faces!!

And… Just for funsies… And because we were being silly…

Katie & Scott

Katie and Scott are SUCH a fun and sweet and adorable and cute and ALL sortsa stuff couple! We had a blast at the fair for their engagement photos. We got a couple funny looks, especially when I laid down on the ground for one of the shots we got. Katie and Scott are the type of people that make you want to be their friends… And have their amazing wardrobes! PLEASE!! ;) Okay… Enough talk… Time to drool over their super fun and adorable engagement photos… You’ll even see one that someone special snuck in to(Katie’s little boy Rush).  Enjoy! And don’t be shy… You know what I mean :) .

this first one is one of my personal faves ;)

And…. Just for kicks and giggles :)

Chris & Heather

Chris and Heather are SUCH a sweet couple!! I really loved getting to hang out with them for their engagement photos and I can not wait for their wedding next year… It’s going to be SO FUN! (and beautiful!) Chris and Heather were referred to me through some mutual friends… AND I LOVE THAT! I love when my friends trust me enough to recommend their friends to me… It makes my heart happy. And these photos make my heart happy too!! They also make me giggle a little… What we went through to get them… We climbed rocks, jumped over water, climbed down things, dodged snakes, etc. We had a good time! And we got some really great photos too and these are only a fraction of them… Check them out and leave us a little love, you know you want to! Oh… And isn’t this place INCREDIBLE?! ENJOY!

HD Walk 2010

So…September 18th was the 3rd Annual Huntington’s Disease Walk in Atlanta! Yeah!! This is something that is VERY near and dear to my heart, as my mother died from Huntington’s Disease when she was only 39yrs old(I was 16yrs old). My mom never got to see me go to prom, graduate, meet my first serious boyfriend, see me go off to college, get married or be at the hospital when her grandbabies were born — trust me though, my kids know about my mama and that she would have been crazy about them! My mother’s mom and both her sisters were diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease as well, only one of my mom’s sisters is still living and battling HD on a daily basis from the confines of a nursing home bed/room. Huntington’s Disease is a very real and devastating disease but has yet to gain as much “publicity” as aids, alzheimer’s disease, cancer, etc and affects nearly the same amount of people and in most instances, in a much worse way. Huntington’s Disease is hereditary and if you carry the gene you risk passing it on, but if you don’t carry it, you can’t pass it on. My mom’s prayer was that HD stopped in our family with her and her sister’s and that my siblings and cousins and I would never know the side of the disease of actually experience it from having it. So my goal is to do everything and anything I can in power to help raise awareness and funds to find a cure for this horrible horrible disease and that my, hopefully, my family(husband and kids) will never have to experience what I did growing up with my mom having HD. One of those ways has been through volunteering my time(our time as a family actually) and talents to the HD Walk and fundraiser each year and doing what I can to do my part and carry on my mom’s legacy.  (IF you feel like you want to donate and support research for this cause, I’d be forever indebted to you, AND here is the link to do so: Pam’s Peace) And here are some of the photos from the walk… Each person here, somehow affected by Huntington’s Disease and gave of themselves to be here this day for this cause. If you want to know how you can help, you can volunteer next year, walk, run or monetary donations are all great ways and if you email me at ashley@ashleybrawner.com, I can get you in touch with whom you need to speak with.

Addison

I’m thrilled that I have the opportunity to shoot a spread for a new children’s fashion magazine, Silverspoon Magazine. I went out with the magazine editor on Tuesday(yesterday) to check out the locations for the shoot, and of course I had to bring along a guinea pig, aka Addison. Here are a few of the pictures I got of her HAMMING it UP for us at one of the locations!!
